Questions and Answers
What is home staging?
Home staging is designed to showcase your property in its best possible light. As a home stager we will come to your property and optimise its appearance through furniture, mirrors, artwork and soft furnishings. The end goal is to highlight your properties strengths, minimise any weaknesses, and create an inviting, aspirational atmosphere that really helps buyers emotionally connect with the space.
Why should I stage my home before selling?
Staging can significantly impact the sale of your home. Properties that are staged often sell faster and may achieve higher offers compared to unstaged homes. Accordingly to Righmove staged home sell for a huge 8% more than unstaged homes – it’s a no brainer.
Can I stage my home myself, or should I hire a professional?
While it’s certainly possible to stage your home on your own, hiring a professional stager can offer a real advantage. Professionals understand what appeals to buyers and know how to highlight your home’s best features. They also have access to stylish furniture and décor that can create a polished, cohesive look—often helping your home sell more quickly and and often for an elevated price.
How long does the staging process take?
The staging process can typically be completed within approximately two weeks from initial consultation to handing back the client’s keys on completion. It all depends on the size and scope of the project and any specific requirements requested.
Do I need to remove all my furniture and personal items before staging?
During the initial consultation we will discuss the best way to approach your stage to maximise its potential. It’s usually advantageous to declutter your home of any personal items before we come to your property.
Do I need to do anything to assist with the stage?
No, we handle everything from the minute you sign the contract until we hand you back the keys. We cover the delivery, assembly, installation, and removal of furniture and accessory packages installed in the property, ensuring we hand the property back clean and ready to sell or rent.
Can staging help if my home is already on the market?
Yes, staging can still be really beneficial even if your home is already listed. Implementing staging can rejuvenate interest in your property and potentially lead to a quicker sale. We have packages to suit all different client needs.
